Mike Kane pitched a complete-game 5-hitter and also drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single to lead the Giants to a 9-2 win over the Reds Tuesday night at New Scotland.
Reds scored two in the top of the first on two singles and an error, but would get just three hits the rest of the way.
The Giants answered back in the bottom of the first on three walks, an RBI single by Wayne Phillips and consecutive sac flies to CF by Doug Reisinger and Paul Scutieri for a 3-2 lead.
The Giants took control in the 3rd, scoring 4 runs on three walks and 4 hits, including Kane's line drive to left to give the Giants a 5-2 lead. Ron Smaka and Bob Bolt added RBIs to make it 7-2.
Phillips, Reisinger and Kane each had two hits.
Giants play Dodgers at 2:30 Sunday at New Scotland before closing out the regular season on Saturday Aug. 25 in a 10 a.m. game at New Scotland.
