Reds 7 Yankees 0

Joe Burns pitched a gem in a 4 hit shutout, as well as I believe going 2 for 3 from the plate even though I don't have the book in front of me... In fact though, I do know he only allowed one Yankee runner to even reach second base as we never really threatened... Not sure how many K's he had, but at least 4 or 5 and the Reds D didn't make any errors, also looking in good form...

Pete Gianellis and Joe Careccia both hit absolute bombs down the left field line that would've been easy HR's had we been at New Scotland instead of across town, plus Joe also had a beautiful bunt single that started another rally they had... But yeah, the drives were both realllllyyy long doubles, though Joe did try to stretch his into a triple and uh yup, was thrown out...

So it looks like the Reds are definitely beginning to hit stride and with all that talent they have on their roster, almost sure to continue contending for a top playoff seed...

Good luck the rest of the way guys and I think we have one more regular season match-up for the rubber game of the regular season series and we'll see ya there...
