On Sunday, several official CDMSBL Steve Sigler stamped baseballs turned up with soft, squishy covers during games. It was especially noticable on or next to the seems. I have one to bring to our next Board meeting. I heard from others that several of these baseballs have turned up. I'd be happy to collect a few more of them. On behald of the Board, our apologies, but we did not go to a lower-cost ball this year; could be just a bad batch or new-old stock.

At the risk of being inappropriate i will check my balls ...

Seriously though i would think all managers at the 25 and up levels should check their remaining supply of baseballs so we can address it now while their is time remaining in our season.

I have had a few baseballs that were in bad shape quickly. I will check the rest of the balls as well.

Jim ....I have 2 from tonights Cubs- Dodgers game.....one has a flat spot on the seam and the other is soft.....I will give them to you on Saturday

jimmy had several last november at fall classic and a couple out in las vegas in march... the umps were commenting on the poor quality at both events.... sounds like msbl not buying a quality baseball? Pete G

I have 4 baseballs from last nights 35 game that have soft spots etc....they were just taken out of the plastic!

I have a few too as an umpire pointed one out to me the other night... Should we not open any more and just turn them back in or what? And what's the plan for replacements, just buy some at Dick's or what?
