The Golden Marlins pounded out 15 hits and gave up just two unearned runs in defeating the Cougars 13-2. Tim Brown led the attack with 3 singles and 3 RBI's in four at bats. TJ Scorsone, Joe Hervieux, Mike Clary, Mike Ferraro, and Tom Maney all had two hits each. Mike Clary started the game on the hill for the Fish, and gave up 2 unearned runs in the first on a lead off walk and two errors. He settled in and held the Cougars to just one single during his 3 innings. TJ Scorsone pitched innings 4-6 and gave up just one single and 2 hit batters during his 3 innings. Joe Hervieux pitched the final frame for the Golden Marlins and gave up just two singles in his scoreless inning. The Cougars are much improved this season and it would not surprise me if they matched their win total over the past 3 years in just this season. The defense is much improved and pitcher Mark Denicola gives them a chance every outing. Good luck the rest of the way gentlemen!
