On a beautiful NS Fri evening - the unbeaten Whiz and Americans squared off with Chris Abrams and Brad Buchan going for their respective squads. The Americans brought home a run in the 3rd on a double by Tom Henderson and single by John Vidor - then another run in the 4th on singles by Mike Labarge, Nick Kanellis and Zimmer. Abrams gave up 2 runs and 6 hits, struck out 5 and did not walk a batter in 5 innings with Jimmy Konstantakis coming on in the 6th to finish the game striking out one and giving up a hit to Kanellis. Buchan, once past the 1st and 2nd innings of trouble, was able to hold the Whiz scoreless and went the distance for the Americans giving up the 7 runs, 12 hits, 7 walks and striking out 2.
