I may miss some but we have Reel and Craft from the red team, Doug Reisinger was with Father Produce (yellow), Henry Field and i were the green team, Kevin Roohan from the Masons (blue team) returned to baseball this year on the Cougars (i assume it is the same guy) and Gary Fish on the Black Sox played as well .. on the Red team if i remember correctly.
Those were the days ........ one season i played in that league, with the over 30 White Sox with Tom Maney and on a softball team in the pub league in Ravena.
I was playing in at least 5 or 6 games every week
Not to mention Jesse Braverman from the 55's ..... and Bill Neumann who manages a 25 team played as well

On a beautiful day (finally) the Dodgers faced off against the Blue Jays at the Satellite Field.
Dodgers got off to a good start with leadoff hitter Newcomb hit by a pitch and #2 hitter Corrigan reaching on a walk. After a double steal to get both runners in scoring position Newcomb scored on a groundout by rookie Dodger Ralph Caputo and Corrigan scored on a sacrifice by rookie Dodger Dave Reed to take a 2-0 lead after the first half inning.
Jim Kisselburgh was sharp and retired the Blue Jays 1-2-3.
Dodgers picked right back up in the bottom of the second after a leadoff out with a hit batter followed by three walks, a single by Newcomb and a bases loaded single by Corrigan to take a 6-0 lead.
Kisselburgh stayed sharp and allowed four batters in the second.
Dodgers were silenced in the 3rd and 4th with back to back 1-2-3 innings.
Kissleburgh pitches out of a 2 out, bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 3rd then gives up one run on back to back singles and an error in the 4th resulting in a 6-1 Dodger lead entering the 5th.
The Dodgers tack on 2 more in the top of the 5th on back to back singles by rookie Henry Field (first hit in 20 +- years) and rookie Jim Hicks followed by RBI groundouts by Corrigan and Caputo to build an 8-1 lead.
In the bottom of the 5th the Blue Jays used a combination of 5 hits and 2 walks to score 5 runs and cut the score to 8-6 with 2 out in the bottom of the 5th. Ralph Caputo came on in relief and struck out the last batter to end the inning.
After another 1-2-3 sixth inning the Blue Jays struck for another run when Henderson hits a fly ball to right field and hustles all the way to 3rd when the ball is lost in the sun. He later followed that up by hustling home and just beating a throw to the plate.
So we go into the top of the seventh in a 8-7 dogfight and needing an insurance run. Leadoff batter grounds to the pitcher and is followed by a great at bat and walk by John Cortese. Continuing the theme of the rookies contributing that was followed up with another single by Field and a great bunt single by Hicks to load the bases with one out. Wayne Newcomb delivers with a 2RBI single, followed by a Corrigan Sac Fly to build an 11-7 lead entering the bottom of the 7th.
Ralph Caputo allowed just one hit and stranded that runner to end the game.
For the Jays Henderson had the triple, Latina had 2 singles and Post had 3 singles.
It was the only thing going if you couldn't find room on a twilight team or the traveling 18+ league. it attracted guys from all over with varied talent and experience as result. That wide appeal eventually spelled its demise as Bethlehem's residency requirement was brought out of mothballs. Jim Jordan ran the league a few more years. Then it was just about absorbed by us in the mid 90's. I have to say when I got around to running the CDMSBL in early 90's ; The vision I had was to make our league as stable as the Twilight but as open as the Bethlehem League was. Its been that task all along. why we grow and evolve , and hopefully the charge of all leadership from here on out. jreel 22 years in .
Ps Jesse used to play me as a reserve before himself and I learned a valuable lesson in player and team and really league management from him. Thanks for that.
