Went to Bethel Saturday to see the site of the 1969 festival.
Kicking myself in the butt now because I turned down a friend who had one seat left in his 1964 Buick LaSabre. He and four buddies saw history, and I now marvel at the site of what is called the defining cultural moment of the '60s.
If you ever have a day with little to do, take the ride. Simply spectacular! JimK
You're just kickin yourself in the butt now 43 years later?? You just had what they call a flashback Jim. Wow that must have been gooooood stuff. You do have me by a couple of years but myself and a few friends went on a "camping trip" and wound up in Bethel a day or 2 after the show to check it out. We were only 15 and 16 and ended up helping clean up but that didn't last long. What a mess! I'll never forget the mud, thousands of sleeping bags and a few wasted stragglers trying to find their way.
