The Reds opened their season last night with a 8-3 victory over the highlanders. Rookie A C Cleary got the victory going 4 innings Only giving up 1 unearned run. Rookie Chris mason pitched the last 3 gave up 2 with 1 unearned. Tony Parella led the hitting with a double and single. Eric kohls2-3 as well and a bunch more guys with 1. Defense turned 2 double Plays as well. Great 1st win agains the " New look Highlanders". Look forwards to the next game.
Yeah, "new" is not necessarily translating into "better" as I may have hoped... Gotta work the kinks out and find the right combo as the defense is so bad right now that I am literally sick to my stomach... Jimmy has some nice looking new young guys (And YES ~ that includes you Mr Ball ~ and you too Mr Corrigan!) and put a good team out on the field...
