2011 World Series Phoenix

Hi Everyone,

I didnt know if you knew that I was playing for the St. Thomas Hurricanes in the 45+ Central division MSBL World Series.

Today we had our first game at the home of the Chicago Cubs and we won 12 -5. Elrod Hendrix son who is also named Elrod is on the team. We also have this other guy named Frank Thomas. Its funny to see Frank Thomas and Elrod Hendrix in the lineup.

Its truly an experience. Its so hard to understand them. But i can tell that they are serious and they expect to win. I lead off and went 1-3 with a walk a double, 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored. I played left field all 9 innings.

Tomorrow we have a double header. More to come.

Ya mun,

Joe Careccia

Ok, Yesterday not so good for the Hurricanes. We lost both games by 1 in extra innings. First game 10 innings and I went 0-3 with a walk stolen base and run scored. Second game we went 12 and I went 0-3 again with two walks and 1 stolen base.

Today was a different story. The Hurricanes beat Chicago in. regulation. They moved me to batting 2nd. I went 4-5 with a double and the only homerun of the tournament so far. I stole 2 bases and scored twice. I have played every inning of each game in left field.

Its so beautiful here. The weather is a steady 85 and just perfect.

Tomorrow another double header at 10 and 2.

Ya mun!!!

Joe
