Mother Nature is continuing to be a, well, you know, this year, and New Scotland is under water. We tried for Dutchman, Indian Meadows and Albany Central Babe Ruth, but to no avail.
So, the Yankees and Giants will have to await their first championship series since 1962 and try again next weekend (Oct. 22-23). Same schedule: Game 1, 12:30 p.m. Saturday Oct. 22, followed by Game 2.
Game 3 if needed 12:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 23.
Early forecast for Sat. is mostly sunny 59 degrees; and Sun. 58 and mostly, you guessed it, cloudy.
And for those of you too young to have seen it, McCovey's final out of that epic '62 Series was absolutely crushed, but right at Bobby Richardson. No wonder why Richardson became a minister!
