Pros: Both teams can really play ball which should make for good, close games.
Cons: Both teams can really play ball which could lead to long games which go past time limits.
Hitting: Both teams got it.
Pitching: Both teams got it.
Matchups: Game 1: Cubs @ Dodgers - Dutchmen Field; Game 2: Dodgers @ Cubs - Dutchmen Field; Game 3: Cubs @ Dodgers - Clifton Commons (if necessary).
You'll get no Bulletin Board material from the Dodgers and I'm guessing the Cubs are too classy to talk smack before the series starts as well. Good luck to both teams and because I have a vested interest in the series, I'll be rooting for the Dodgers.
Rob and Springtime I will chime in for both teams.
The Cubs are defending their 35 division title starting tonight. The Cubs are comprised of Veterans who have played baseball at various levels and everyone one of them from their youngest guy to their oldest guy who is in their mid to late 50's can still hang with any 18 year old in our league like they were playing in their hay day.
Cubs have outstanding Hitting, Pitching and Defense! I can list all the Cubs players but I would be here all day.
The Dodgers 1st year in existence. Ralph Marrero has put together a very good squad. The Dodgers are led by their Pitching in which they have some top notch pitchers like Jim Shook, JJ Pearsall, Jay Day (Phillies of the CDMSBL).
