The WhizKids had 8 of their 18 hits in a 6-run 3rd inning to break open a close game and went on to defeat the Cougars 12-4. Peter Persico, Jeff Teats, Jesse Braverman, Mike Lannon, and Ed Klopfer all had RBI hits in the decisive frame. Braverman (3 IP) and Lannon (4 IP) combined for the victory. The Cougars were led by Dave Foreman who was 3-3. Thanks to interim Cougar manager Tony Scanu and his teammates for letting us borrow Persico, an original WhizKid, who went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
