well, i guess i not only have to work off lots of winter rust, but mental rust too: i left my weighted metal bat at the satellite field on sunday. i later posted note here asking if any one had by chance picked it up.

turns out that the reds ron macarthy is the kind soul who was good enough not only to pick up my bat but a bat weight that one of my vets teammates had also left behind. it must have been heavy lugging.

so as soon as i see the next posting of the 45 schedule, i'll make it a point to see and thank ron.

it never fails: again and again, i see we have thoughtful and honest people here. i'm always impressed.
