The Old School Bat Company has changed to……….

RAKE "Do some Yard Work"!!!

Fellow Baseballers again thank you for your business in 2010 and already in 2011. After much consideration and market research (aka; drinking Coors Lights with Carlos and Jimmy K.) , the Old School Bat Company has given way to the new name of my little baseball bat company RAKE! Yup a real logo and everything.

Now, as for the most important part of the company: the BATS. I wanted to go after a more consistent producer and with more recognized models. I had samples shipped in from 5 different true bat makers. Only one stood out in terms of quality, proven and reliable business practices. This company once produced 60% of the NY Yankees Major League bats makes a really nice product.

I received 100 raw bats yesterday - Ash, Maple and Birch (models M110, P72 & C243). It was a glorious day much like Christmas or Hanukah or Kwanzaa or well, you get the idea a really good day. Of the 100 bats that came in, 40 are spoken for the remaining 60 are available. I have scheduled 100 bats to be shipped to me once a month (yes, jut like a book club) until July.

Pricing has increased from last year but so has the quality and consistency:

Pro Grade Maple: $48.00 (2 for $90)
Pro Grade Ash: $38.00 (2 for $70)
Pro Grade Birch: $43.00 (2 for $80)

Any bats I have left over from last year are available from $15 to $25 depending on the weight of the bats heavier are less expensive (and great for BP).

Hi Steve,
I'd to order 2 of the Birch "Rake" (as in brake out the) bats. I like a fatter knob if possible. 33"

Thanks,
Gregg Woolston

what you can't see in greg's avatar are the eight men behind him doing the same dance move . the choreography was a bit of a bitch, but the 55 yanks know how to party.
p.s.- fatter knobs for everybody, all those in favor say aye.
