Rain outs and make ups.

Did the Giants and Dodgers play last night?
If not, when and where is the make-up?

So I can inform my players, if tonight's Whiz Kids/Cubs game gets rained out (80% chance), when and where would that be made up?
Waiting to see what happens with the weather is not prudent, in my opinion.
I just want to get the contingency planning started.

The Giants beat the Dodgers 2 - 1. We gave them everything we had but the Giants played liked champs, acted like champs and were very complimentary for our efforts. I will let Jimmy K offer the details.

Great job, Don! I had a feeling, if your full squad was at the game, you would have a good chance to pull the upset.
Who did that great job on the mound for you guys?

Mark Denicola took the mound and put the Dodgers on his back. I don't have the book so I could be wrong but I can only remember four balls being hit into the outfield. Unfortunately for the us, the Giants turned those into two runs. Bob Bolt pitched for the Giants and was one run better. We'll keep plugging!

Like most teams in July and August, the Dodgers were missing a few key players. I would guess the Giants were in the same boat. I won't take anything away from them figuring out a way to win.

One of the best well-payed games you could ever see. Maybe one error and lots of 3-up/3-down innings.
We knew we were in for a game before it started. Denicola is a national tournament-calibre pitcher and their lineup is stacked.

A run in the bottom of the sixth ignited by rookie Shane Quackenbush followed by a two-out line single to right by Mark Massaroni won it.

The defense was great and Bobby bolt was on fire.

Denicola gave up just 4 hits; I believe Bolt did the same.
