Twins-Americans in a Tight One

The Americans took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first with 2 hits and that would be the only hits and runs the Twins pitching staff would allow the rest of the game . It took the Twins until the bottom of the 6th to finally score their 3 runs. Mike Ruslander and Dave Edelman scored pn a 1 out bases loaded Jim Edelman long single in the right center field gap. Rob Ostberg later scored the winner on a wild pitch.Twins had 11 hits and held the Americans to just 2 hits. Stefan Koutsakis relieved starter Wayne Nicholsen in the top of the 7th with runners at first and second with no outs Koutsakis proceeded to strike out the Americans 1-2-3 batters in order to earn the save. Koutsakis threw an effective variety of pitches. A very well played game in the field by both teams.
