The 9th Twins player raced into Watervliet with three minutes left in the grace period and it was time for playoff baseball. The Twins jumped out to a one-run lead in the top of the first but it was all Dodgers after that.
Five of the first six Dodgers' batters singled and stole a base and four runs crossed the plate in the bottom of the frame. Mark Denicola took the 4 - 1 lead to the mound and shut the Twins down through five. The Dodgers defense recorded two double plays to support Mark's effort. Meanwhile the Dodgers bats and legs kept the merry-go-round going.
Tom King, who also filled in nicely behind the dish for the Twins, led off the top of the 6th with a no doubter.
Final score 11 - 2.
The Dodgers will play again on Tuesday at New Scotland against the winner of the Cardinals/Americans contest. Fun times.
