The Pirates and Twins were able to sneak an entire game in on A Diamond last night with only about 10 minutes of rainfall late in the contest. Twins prevailed 8-0 in an overall well played game by both teams. Many fine defensive plays were made on both sides . Hard to say who made the most outstanding play, but my vote goes to Wayne Newcomb who somehow snared a vicious line drive in front of his face when he was pitching in the third inning. No exaggeration, but that ball was a killer.

The Pirates have many good players, and we all know they are loaded with great guys. They are showing real signs of rising.
