Well we thought we were going to get a game in last night at New Scotland. Arriving at the field to discover I did not have any of my four fielders mitts a couple key guys missing and running into a Cubbie buzz saw lineup looking to make up for the night before. The Peppers leadoff hitter Mick was hit by a pitch Carter hit a line drive right at the 3rd baseman and scrambling to get back to 1st Mick felt something pop in his knee and went down and out for the game. Goodbye leadoff/centerfielder ugh.
Cub bats woke up and dropped a couple singles in front of our outfielders then bombed a couple over them and round and round they went to the tune of 8 runs. 0's were hung up in the second and third innings but the rain started and proceeded to drown out the game in the 4th with the score at 12-1. Slate goes clean for our next meeting.
