Who won last night's playoff opener?

Did the Whiz Kids stay hot, or did the Cards cool them off?

Wow.

How about some details. Sounds like who pitched for each team is about all we need to know

Al Freer, 1- hitter for the Cards. Anthony Torre got the lone hit for the Whiz Kids.

Mike Kane, 5-hitter.

I failed to block a throw to first base. It went to the fence. Runner from second scored. Mike deserved a better fate.

Jim Porter
Whiz Kids
55+ Division

Freer pitched for the Cards and Kane for the Whiz. I do not know the stats. I watched about half the game.

Several Twins and Giants players watched the game because our game was PPD. C Diamond is shuttered for the rest of the year.

So, we went over to watch Cards-Whiz at the A Diamond. Have to say it was probably one of the top 3 games ever played in the 55 Division. A crisp 1:15. Kane and Freer were on fire. Both defenses tremendous. They both played like division champions. Wish everyone could have seen it.
