The 2018 CDMABL championship series is set, after a first round bye the Mets swept the Rockies to advance to their 6th championship series. Mets have won three championships, and are looking to add another to tie the all-time league record of 4 set by the Colonie Knights. The Mets have been winning with their great pitching staff which includes Joe Slater, Justin Brooks, Zach Andi and Sean Conroy. And speaking of great pitching, the Ducks led by Jim Bonaparte have made their 2nd Championship series, looking for their first championship ever in the CDMABL. The Ducks in the first round beat Chatham 1-0. lost 1-0, and down 1-0 in the 6th inning of the deciding game, came back with some clutch hitting to win the series. They then went on to sweep the back-to-back champion and #1 seed Blacksox, once again led by their dominant pitching and great defense. Their staff includes Dan Zeglen, who threw 2 complete game shutouts so far in the playoffs, and also John Mancini, Dan Jones and Ricky Umholtz. The championship series schedule is below opening at Bleeker Friday night, then continuing at A diamond this weekend, for those who love good baseball should come out and support the league, should be a tightly contested great series!!!
