In another elimination game the Americans came out swinging. Hits by Aiello, Martin and Smith led to a 3 - 0 lead after one inning. Jon Martin kept the Dodgers quiet through four.

In the top of the 5th Dodgers' #9 batter, Mike Kocienski started a two-out rally with an RBI single to right. The top of the Dodgers line-up continued the rally with singles by Denicola, Schaefer and Bradley. With the score tied at 3 Denicola dug deep on the mound on what was not the finest defensive night for the boys in blue. Putting the ball in play worked for the Dodgers as Joe Kosek reached on an FC in the 6th. With two outs Denicola helped his cause by placing a blooper to right where nobody could reach it. Joe Kosek scored from second.

The Dodgers defense then wriggled out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the sixth to preserve a 4 - 3 victory.

The Dodgers are now 3 - 1 in this double-elimination round.
