The Dodgers beat the Pirates 9 - 3 to advance another game in the 55+ double-elimination tournament.

Despite leading after every inning, the Dodgers never felt comfortable with our leads. The Pirates' Bill Smith had our batters off balance for seven innings and the Pirates had runners on base and hitters at the plate throughout the game. Fortunately Mark Denicola was up to the task and Dave Reed snared a bases-loaded line drive that had RBIs written all over it.

The Dodgers will face the Americans Wednesday night.
