Pirates rope a dope Giants

The day was as sweet as the clover blossoms on the Infield grass. Given our last heroic efforts, a now prouder Bucco crowd had assembled and stared in awe of the orange men opponents as they warmed......and beyond them to the parking lot to see if the whole black and gold gang was on this voyage. Nope, some maties would miss this boat. But in comes Jazzy whistling "Ida , sweeter than apple cida". Meanwhile ,The foe , the 4 time league champs, the Giants, warmed up the seldom called upon McQuire to twirl his spell. I believe long time MSBL'er Mr. Dibari drew the Pirate short straw and we walked him to the plank,... or rubber as it were. I saw him take a deep breath before he turned and faced his fate. 20-30 pitches later, and a run down, we thought for couple three minutes this prize fight would be conducted center ring. Wix followed Coz and Dalton after him. All the while the aforementioned Jazzy was up to the task of running down towering pops as was his Left field mate Mr Joey D. But Giants do what Giants do and they woke for the needed middle rounds and walloped enough flatter projectiles to threaten an early TKO. Mercy me!. Meanwhile the unrelieved Maquire battled to seal the deal in five. Dwon 12 the home team Bucs roused themselves from the ropes, (and all those body punches), and fought to keep the game alive. Already one out down, Mr. Mcann, Mr. leadoff to us , did his job reaching first, Mr. Jeff , returning from the isle of the damned, took a shot to the arse and trotted to his awarded base. Now the run needed to continue this fight was just 180 feet from ...well glory. The next batter moved him to third but with the cost of our next to last out. No worries mate , Mr. Joey D. once again comes thru (hot link to previous Bucs details here) with the Pirates biggest hit of the day; a shot over the Giant in left field; not easy, he's tall! Whilst I fail to chronicle the big Orange hits and defensive prowess on the day, I would suppose they beg to differ on the momentous heroics related here. They're are a humble bunch by my account anyway and by that they'd perhaps have their books tell their own epic tale. Suffice it to say we got off the ropes to throw a couple swift jabs and one big hay maker at the Giant and he reeled (like he sorta liked it), and came back and thumped us to end it in 6. it was near dark anyway. And jazzy whistled again about Ida and the honey bees returned to the clover. thus Our ships sailed off to opposite horizons not to likely meet again this year. you to close battles and to defend a streak , us to perhaps more glorious days along a treacherous path. it was fun, Good luck Orange foe.

Rob Kidd couldn't have provided a better account of this tale of America's pastime.

Though the author of the Pirates of the Caribbean series may have not described Tony Nardacci, who was in left, as ever being tall!

More important than the outcome was meeting some quality guys who share this same passion - baseball. Dalton has put together a group that I'm sure all of us are proud to take the field with.

Way to go JD. Hope your Buccos notch that first one in your belts real soon.

Momma finally let uncle john shoot the lock off the psilocybin safe.

I'm extremely worried for the children's safety.

Cant wait for the next report Mr Dosteyevski.

The azure sky overlooked the still glistening diamond.... while the unkempt one eyed scallywags spit
tobacco and cursed as they took the field like they were hijacking the Queens ship at sea.

Nice writin' John
