At A Diamond last night, where the field temperature was 104 degrees at the start of the game, the Twins and Yankees had a heck of a game.The Yankees scored 4 unearned runs helped by 4 Twins errors over the first 3 innings while the Twins plated 3. In the 5th, the Yankees scored 5 runs on 5 hits to make it 9-3 and it looked like they were on cruise control. However, the Twins came back with 2 in the bottom of the 5th and 5 more in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead 10-9 . Yanks came up in the top of the 7th and found a way to earn 1 more run to make it 10-10. The Twins had a chance in the bottom of the 7th loading the bases with 2 outs but it ended on a 3rd out pop up to short. And by then, it was too dark to start extra innings.

The Yankees had 12 hits. Post collected 2 hits, Caruso 2 hits, Hervieux 2 hits.

Twins recorded 13 hits with Rick Saidenberg 3 hits including a double, Koutsakis 2 hits and a double, King 2 hits, Jim Edelman 2 hits and a double, and Wayne Nicholson a huge double in the Twins BIG 6th inning knocking in 2 runs.
