Marlins Outlast Cyclones in a High Scoring Game

The Golden Marlins plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning and six in the bottom of the third inning to outlast the Cyclones by a score of 11-9. There were only five combined walks and two combined errors between the teams - it was the bats that did the damage for both teams.

A lot of crooked numbers on the scoresheet. For the Marlins:

S. Lounello - 2-for-3, BB, R, SB, 2B, 2 RBI
J. McQuade - 2-for-3, BB, 2 R, SB, RBI
R. Massaroni - 2-for-3, R, RBI
Brown - 2-for-3, 2 R, 2B, RBI
C. Llera - 2-for-4
S. Maney - 1-for-3, BB, R, 2 SB

The Cyclones pounded out 20 hits which did not prove to be enough, but there were some impressive numbers, nonetheless:

Sherwin So - 3-for-4, 2B, 2 R, SB, 3 RBI
Rich Robertson - 3-for-4, 2 R, RBI
Sean Meca - 3-for-4, SB
John Coulombe - 2-for-3, BB, 2 R, 2 RBI
Jeremy Jarvis - 2-for-4, BB, 2 R, SB
Dean Rowe - 2-for-5, 2B, R
Gibby Travis - 2-for-4, RBI
Cos DiBari - 2-for-4

The 45's play on SATURDAY next weekend - The Marlins play the Royal Brewers at 10:00 a.m. at Chatham and the Cyclones take on the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. at New Scotland. Good group of guys the Marlins have - good luck to them the rest of the way (unless we meet again! - biggrin )
