Sunday was a somewhat dreary overcast day in Clearwater, but it was 80 degrees or so. So, yeah, not so bad.
The Capitals started their tourney against a sponsored squad from Cleveland that had moved up to the 50s after playing several years in the 45+ American Division. They were pretty good. The Capitals got the first innings only hit when Pat Alston cracked one into left field. Unfortunately, Cleveland would get the only hits in innings 2 through 9 en route to a shutout drubbing of the Capitals. But tomorrows another day, and the Albany guys take the field again Monday morning. It promises to be another tough game, against a Sacramento team that won their 50+ division last year before faltering in the playoffs, but theres no where to go but up. So thats where well head.
