2017 33+ Division Awards - Final Vote Totals

The managers of the 33+ Division have submitted nominations and cast their ballots for the end of season awards. Below are the results for the top three in each category:

CY YOUNG AWARD (Most Outstanding Pitcher):

WINNER: Jami Burnetter (Indians). Jami was the workhorse of the best pitching staff in the division. Jami posted an 8-1 record with a 0.29 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 5 CG, 48.1 IP and 54 K.

Runners up: Jeff Lelievre (Dirtbags) and Brendan Roberts (Indians)

----

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER:

WINNER: Alex Trionfo (Diamondbacks). Alex provided raw power for the league's second-best run scoring offense. His .521 batting average and OPS of 1.288 was tops among all qualifying players. Alex had 2 HR and 24 RBI (both second best in the league) and his triple slash of .559/.729/1.288 is usually only seen on video games.

Runners up: Fernando Robleno (Indians) and Mike O'Neil (Warriors)

----

ROOKIE of the YEAR:

WINNER: Jesse Leffler (Diamondbacks). Jesse proved that he belonged on one of the best teams in the 33+ Division by sparking the Diamondbacks offense all season long with a blistering OBP and speed on the basepaths - on top of playing outstanding defense at 3B and moving to 2B to help cover injuries. Leffler had 88 plate appearances and only struck out 5 times all season long. He carried a .479 batting average and a ridiculous triple slash of .602/.671/1.274 to go with 13 stolen bases and 17 RBI.

Runners up: Jeff Lelievre (Dirtbags) and Adam Ellenbogen (Yankees)

----

MANAGER of the YEAR:

WINNER: Barry Friedman (Dirtbags). Barry guided the Dirtbags to the second best regular season record in 2017 after wrapping up the 2016 campaign with the second worst record. His Dirtbags improved by 11 games from the previous season; his pitching staff allowed the second fewest runs in the Division and his Dirtbags were one of only two teams to net a victory against the Indians in 2017.

Runners up: Jim Bonaparte (Indians) and Lex Herrlett (Yankees), Rob Currier (Black Bears) tied for 3rd.

----

Congrats to the winners and all those who were nominated. All worthy of recognition.
