Marlins Walk-off in Eight....

Andy Hoyle scored all the way from 1st base on a line shot down the left-field line by Ralph Caputo to give the Marlins a hard fought 5-4 victory over the Royals Sunday at Blatnik. Hoyle's head first slide into home narrowly beat the the throw.. as the Marlins finished the regular season with their 12th win...an improvement over last seasons total of.......1 !
Workhorse Ronnie Massaroni was the winner on the hill, giving up just 1 earned run. For the Royals, the ageless Jerry Soloman threw 3 shutout innings...Jon Atwell pitched well in defeat. Rehabilitated Timmy Brown had a couple of safeties for the Marlins..,Good to have Tim back!

Now the real season begins...good luck to all eight teams in the playoffs.

That's dumb.
Don't let me hear about you doing that again, Andy!
