The Damn Yankees put together a very solid all around effort tonight at C Diamond knocking the Twins out of the playoffs 12-0.
John Weber ept the Twins off balance with a variety of medium speed pitches. the Twins again hamstrung themselves making several costly errors that led to quite a few unearned runs. We have to fix that.

Worth noting---the top 4 seeds defeated the lower 4 seeds by a combined score of 40-1 in the four first round games.Also, the home plate umpire had to leave the game and go to the emergency room in the bottom of the fourth inning after suffering what appeared to be a broken hand when the bat slipped out of one of the Yankees hands on a swing and struck the poor ump's left hand hard.

Best of luck to the Whiz, Giants, Yankees, and Marlins the rest of the way. Sorry I won't be there with you . Hate to see the season end. My legs were just starting to feel what I used to call normal. But, we got to play some baseball and had some fun this year despite all the wet weather. At our age, it's something to be grateful for.
