The 55+ Red Hot Peppers rallied twice to down the Americans 11-9 at Satellite Field on Thursday night and, in the process, won their fourth straight game. The Peps started out the season with four flat tires, going 0-9, but they since found some air and won five of their last seven games.
Hitting was the element of the evening, and the Americans' Nick Kanellis had a grand night, homering to left, belting a double, scoring four runs and going 4-for-4. For the Peppers, Herb Carter went 3-for-4, hitting two long doubles to left center and scoring three times and Howard Becker went 3-for-3.
The game was a taut one with the lead changing sides almost every other inning. A game like that is a good one to end a season on.

When Nick "The Stick" Kanellis is healthy, there is no better hitter -- or teammate -- in the league. Great to see he is back on the field raising havoc at the plate.
