Twins Give Yankees An Early Christmas

The 55 Yankees beat the Twins last night 14-8 at New Scotland. Both teams hit well with the Yanks collecting 13 hits and the Twins 13 . However, the deciding factor was 6 very poorly timed errors by the Twins giving the Yankees 12 unearned runs while 7 of the 8 Twins runs were earned. No lie. The Twins were up 5-2 after 2, but had shakey defensive innings in the 3rd and 5th. Leading the Yankees were Weber with 3 hits and Post and Bradley with 2 hits each. For the Twins, Ben Phillips and Stefan Koutsakis each had three hits while Jim Edelman, Tom King, and John Newman picked up 2 hits each. So the teams split the season series. Gotta say---the Yankees are gentlemen.
