Platinum Marlins handle the Americans, 9-1

The Marlins were boosted by a cameo appearance by Randy Craft, on short visit from his home down in God's waiting room.
He didn't wait long to make an impact.
In bottom of the 1st with the Americans up 1-0, Randy plated two Marlins with booming 2-RBI double.
It would have been a 3-run homer if the whole fence would have been up, at the satellite field, as it landed well past, but just left
of the already installed portion.
The rest of the Marlins offense was provided by the top of the Marlins order (Scott Ross, Wayne Newcomb, Mike Girard, Ralph Caputo, and Jim McQuade), who went a combined 8 for 15.
Mike Girard was solid on mound, giving up just 3 singles, 1 walk, and just 1 unearned run, while striking out 7, in a complete game victory.
Rich Garbarino (single) and Dave Demaria (2 singles) had the 3 hits for the Americans.
The Marlins improve to 5-5, with the win.
The Americans drop to 3-6, with the loss.

I have never heard the phrase "God's Waiting Room" before, but I absolutely love it.

Driving into Satellite on Wed for our game against the Americans, I saw Randy behind the fence getting loose.
Two things came to mind right away. I'm playing third tonight and we better be focused.

The great thing about Randy, is not that he is just without question the best player on the field, but he demands excellence by his teammates, just by his presence.

First ball that was hit to Randy made a quick satellite hop that Randy barehanded and threw to first. I think the game was over right there.

It's fun playing this game, it's even more fun being part of a team with Mr. Craft.

Sa-weet! Glad to hear that Randall is back on the diamond.

Sounds like there is nothing wrong with the wing; Arizona awaits you.
