Cardinals 5 Marlins 1 - Al Freer out pitched Wayne Newcombe who was outstanding in the loss. Bert Myers was the big bat for Cards with a 2-run double in a 4-run error laden inning.
Marlins left bases loaded twice, and bounce into a double play in another inning with 1-out, and 1st and 2nd. Freer bent but never broke, and Cards played good defense. rematch Monday 6/26.
