I am putting together a "pick-up" baseball game for the 4th of July weekend. The game will be for players over the age of 44. As in the past we will create two, equally balanced teams from the pool of players who sign up to play. There is a strict limit of 24 players for this game.
We will play at a field in the Albany area - maybe New Scotland, maybe Watervliet HS.
I am asking those interested to email me at dballjr@nycap.rr.com. Please tell me if you prefer a game on Saturday, July 1st or Sunday, July 2nd and if you prefer a 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM start. We will play on the day and time that suits most of the players.
The game will be followed by a BBQ. I will provide delicious Hoffman hot dogs and chips. Players will be asked to bring their own beverages and a picnic dish to share (I wanted to include the wives!).
Cost per player will be $10.00.
Here is the only catch. In order to commit to a field and the umpires, I must have at least 20 guys signed up by Monday, June 26th. So if you're interested, let me know by the 26th. If we do not have 20 guys registered by the 26th, the game will be cancelled. And once 24 guys sign up, registration will be closed.
