Happy New Year to all of the CDMSBL! Looking forward to another year of playing ball and socializing (More socializing than playing ball at this stage though) : ) And so, 2017 marks 10 years of RAKE Bats. Thank you for your business and for your support. GREATLY appreciated!!!!
Here's what's new for 2017:
Leftover bats from 2016 are ON SALE! MLB Grade (not big box store grade wood) - ASH $35 and MAPLE $50 ..............anything leftover from 2016 is ON SALE until they are gone! There are probably 30 or 40 bats leftover from last year. Honestly, you cannot buy an MLB Grade bat ANYWHERE for what I'm selling them for.
THE big names in the bat business have big overhead (I only have the cost of the bats and my labor - I'm not paying Mark Marshall or Will Horan the big contracts to use RAKE Bats). The same wood is used by just about all of the high quality bat makers........obviously, there is a MUCH HIGHER markup by M*****i and C******r and O*d H*****y (fill in the blanks) I've got guys going on three years with the same RAKE bat (Josh Kelly)!
Anyway - once the 2016 bats are gone............business as usual. Got 300 new billets in last week - time to make the donuts! Check out the new RCL20 Model - Medium Handle/LOOOOOONG barrel. It's a great feeling bat - balanced and easy to swing. It's actually named after a longtime player in the CDMSBL. First one to guess who it is ................FREE RAKE T-shirt!

Ha HA, that's so funny. I started to read Steve's post and I mention to Josh Kelley(who's standing next to me) that Lounello has bats for sale. Josh starts to tell me that he has a Rake bat that he's been using for 3 years. This was before I read the rest of Steve's post and saw that he mentions Josh Kelley.
Josh says you need to pay him for the endosement

One current player in the CDMSBL is related (by marriage) to a Major League Player who played in the 1926 World Series against......................Babe Ruth (who hit 3 home runs in game 4).
Can you name:
1) The CDMSBL player and 2) The Major League player he is related to (by marriage)???????
The guy in question cannot reply with the answer! : )
