The Annual CDMSBL meeting will be held on Dec 12th 6pm at the Railyard Restaurant on Central Avenue All General Manager are to attend m however anyone can attend. Commissioners may use this date to hold divisional meetings after. The 2016 League and Divisions annual reports will presented and the 2017 Board elected 2016.

GMs - As a follow-up to John's announcement, I am announcing my candidacy for re-election to the board. With that in mind I think it is appropriate to share my plans for 2017.
When I announced my candidacy last year, I promised that my focus would be to create extra opportunities for league members to play baseball. My first effort resulted in a very nice game of baseball in Chatham on Memorial Day weekend. After the game the players and wives had a nice afternoon at the Chatham Brewery. That event was followed by a game and a BBQ at New Scotland on July 4th. I was especially happy with the participation in the 2016 fall ball season. With the help and generosity of Dennis Lane, we hosted nine weeks of games and workouts. In September we held Thursday evening games and Saturday morning workouts. In October we switched to Thursday evening workouts and weekend games. These events were a lot of fun and provided excellent preparation for players in post-season playoffs and heading to fall tournaments.
I fully intend to carry on these traditions in 2017. Additionally, I have volunteered to chair the 2017 banquet committee and have started making plans for a great night. The theme for the evening will be a night of music featuring players/musicians from the league. More details will follow but I promise you this: If you miss this evening, when you talk to the people that went and had a great time, you'll wish you had gone!
