Bears Rebound With Good Week After Previous Debacle

It's not very often that a regular season baseball game will make you reevaluate your life, but last week after suffering what was likely the worst defeat in the history of baseball on any level, the Bears bounced back strong with two well played games this week - a 5-4 loss to the Reds on Monday in a very clean game played by both teams (only one error committed between the two teams) and a big win against an excellent Diamondbacks team 15-8 on Wednesday.

Numbers for the Bears v. Reds:

Darren Foote: 2-for-4, R, SB
Rob Bialkowski: 2-for-4, 2 R,
Kevin Bondi: 2-for-4, SB
Austin Blum: 3-for-4, 2B, R, RBI, SB

Dave Hartman: 6 IP, 5 R, 3 ER, 7 H, 3 BB, 5 K, CG (L)

Numbers for the Bears v. Diamondbacks:

Darren Foote: 2-for-5, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI, SB
Jeff McQuide: 4-for-4, 2B, 4 R, 2 RBI, BB, SB
Rob Wadsworth: 2-for-5, R, 2 RBI
Rob Bialkowski: 2-for-4, 3B, 2 R, 3 RBI, SB
Kevin Bondi: 1-for-4, 2 R, RBI
Austin Blum: 3-for-4, 3 R, RBI, 2 SB
Joe Montemarano: 0-for-2, 3 RBI, BB, SF

Rob Bialkowski: 7 IP, 8 R, 6 ER, 12 H, 2 BB, 7 K, CG (W)

It was very encouraging as the manager to see the team bounce back after such a soul-crushing defeat just a week ago.

Boomer, great job from a national champion, despite the loss.
Glad to see da Bears pick themselves up and get after it.
