The Cubs beat the Royals, 10-1, on Saturday afternoon, at the Satellite field.
The Cubs pitching allowed just 1 run on 4 hits (all singles).
Chris Dunn started, and went 5 strong innings, giving up just 1 run, on 3 singles and 4 walks, while striking out 4.
Jon Martin pitched a 1-2-3 6th inning, and Mike Girard finished with a scoreless 7th.

Meanwhile, Shawn Maney led an 11-hit Cubs attack, with 2 doubles, 1 single, 2 RBI's, 3 runs scored, and 1 stolen base.
Mike Girard added a double, 2 singles, 5 RBI's, and a run scored, in 4 at bats.
Jim McQuade stayed hot, with a 2 for 3 day and 2 runs scored.

Russ Hughes had 2 of the Royals 4 hits, and scored their only run.

These two teams won't have to wait long for a rematch as they play each other next Sunday at Chatham, on "make-up weekend".
