Mike Kane tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball and allowed 1 unearned run as the Whiz Kids defeated the Peppers 11-1. The Peppers had taken a 3rd inning 1-0 lead when Vince Koster reached on an error, and scored on a force out by Mike Hart. The Whiz Kids answered with 7 runs in the 4th on RBI from Kane (2), Reggie Flansburg, Anthony Torre, and Mike Aveyard. They added 4 more in the 5th, as Jim Preller, Flansburg, and Ed Draves knocked in runs. The Whiz Kids face the Marlins on Tuesday at Central Park B-Diamond.
