Are you looking to play some baseball next Saturday?
We are assembling a team of 45+ players to play a nine inning game on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The Chatham Brewers will host the game. Food and beer will be served after the game at the Chatham Brewery. Cost will be $10/player.
Digest those four sentences and imagine what this offers. A nice ride down through beautiful country side to the Chatham baseball complex. Baseball played on a very nice field. Nine innings of baseball with your friends from the 45+ division. The weather forecast calls for sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80s. (How many rainouts have you had?) Then a nice cold beer, food and some post-game laughs.
We are limiting our roster to 12 players. There are four slots remaining. The first four people who respond to me at dballjr@nycap.rr.com are in. The fifth, sixth, seventh ....will have to wait until 4th of July weekend.
4th of July weekend you ask? Yes, we will be organizing a similar event for Saturday, July 2nd. The hope for that weekend is to have one game for the 45+ crowd and a second game for the elder statesmen in our league.
So wipe the mud off your cleats. Put a smile on your face. And let's play some holiday baseball!
The team from Albany has their 12 roster spots filled. The Chatham Brewers are ready to play ball. With the temperatures forecast to be in the upper 80s, a couple of extra players wouldn't hurt. If you would like to join us for a day of baseball, food and cold beer contact me at dballjr@nycap.rr.com. Game time is 11:00 AM.
If you get placed on the Chatham team you might get the added bonus of batting against me!
