ladies & gents: know what " prompts the most neurogenesis in the hippocampus?" or helps grow brain cells, even in geezers? running rodents may supply an answer. read on. then, run like hell. then, thank them rats.. -mike
That's very inspirational Mike, so much so I've built a running wheel in my basement and am in it nightly. Not sure though where the hippo campus is, but if they figured out how to get a hippo on a running wheel, god bless 'em. That's probably safer than running across the campus. Hmmm, that was a pretty astute thought. That wheel must be working already.
glad you liked it, ron. if that wheel works for you, you might want to hawk it on qvc. the human rat wheel! think of the possibilities!
as for me, i was pretty intrigued when the researchers tied weights to the rats' tails. new form of weightlifting they call it. ok. weightlifters were never known for being the smartest buckeroos on the block, anyway.
but, hey, it gave me an idea: if i tied weights to my tail, would i run faster? if i do, maybe you and i could go on qvc together, peddling our inventions. or maybe combine them?
i mean, i know what i'm picking if it's a choice between the gold burnished, 6.5-carot diamond ring with frilly edges, sold by some much-too-white-toothed ex-model and the tail-weighted human rat wheel vended by two upstanding baseball geezers.
there's just no choice.
