The strike box

Is anybody else bothered by the strike box in tonight's playoff game? They are keeping it on the screen the entire game. Disney has ruined ESPN.

Yeah, Wayne, they could wait to replay the pitch and show it then if it's questionable. They replay every pitch anyway. But when the pitch is live, it's not necessary. Also, I wonder how accurate it really is. Is it beamed down thru satellite? How does it work?

When you're vertically challenged I can understand being upset looking at a strike zone..... considering the high end of a normal strike zone for you is around your eyes!! :)

It sounds like one of our members took too many hockey pucks to the head.

Hence the plate :) But it's nice to know this vertically challenged pitcher owned that normal-sized shortstop when I face him. Guess that's why he retired :) Hey Randall, seriously, we missed you this year. It just wasn't the same without guys like you and John LaTorre.

Box was most likely designed by suits who never played the game, except on an MLB Video game.
Let the umps ump with out high-tech gimmickry...a knowledgeable fan will know when ump missed one.....

Pitchers.....they all think their ERA was 0.0. The only thing you owned James (4.11) were platform shoes and maybe one other player who I can't mention :).. I must say It was a tough year to just watch a few games. Might have to hook up with a squad in Fla next year

Sorry JK, but my boy is talking about hooking up with his Cubbie buddies in Florida next year!
In fact, I want to put it out there already that I am going to be taking a team next year.
Anybody ready to commit at this early date, other than Randy?!
