Team RAKE ..........Labor Day Battles .......3rd Championship!

Team RAKE. .......2015 Labor Day Tournament Champions (miraculously)!

Through the drama of the confusion of the 30/40 - waiver/no waiver tournament format.......playing with 3 bad arms, 2 bad legs, a few no-shows (one legitimate) ........11 guys pitched and played great defense (with the exception on one bizarre play - too weird to describe but the recap of it after the game had us all in funny tears) to earn the 2015 trophy.

Paul Moore threw a gem in game one....thank you sir for the last minute performance. Dave Perry threw another jewel in game three. .......totally calm and cool on the hill. Joe Burns (w/severe elbow tendonitius) gutted out game 4 and RAKE defense held together in the championship game.

Jim Hicks played a flawless and sparkling SS to earn MVP Honors. Best SS performance I've seen in a looooong time.

Mark Dabney went big fly in game 2. Joe Burns and Dan Mirabile were instrumental at the top of the order. Bob Davis, Joe DeMarco, Carlos Llera, Jan Friedman, Jim Hicks, Ron Massaroni, Tony Nardacci, Jimmy K........ALL were solid and contributed to the 2 day 5 game, HOT marathon!

Great group of guys.......well deserved. Hurt, short-handed and well. .....not exactly young.

Love the Maine guys......really solid group of ballplayers. ....hit the hell out of the ball. Eddie Simmons.....good dude. Doc.....threw his ass off this tournament. #2 hitter (my apology - I didn't get his name) that boy can hit! A pleasure to play against you guys.......!

That's it folks. ......Good fun! Congratulations to the 30 Champions!

Dammit! This is the championship game I wanted to see, but consulted the CDMSBL website - and ended up at the Bob Moore dust bowl. C'mon guys.

Anyway, congrats to the lawn-tool guys.

What Steve forget to mention is how he took the ball in the championship game and pitched a GEM against a very good offensive team. Thanks coach for putting together this great bunch of guys. Hicks you missed your calling, you should have been a comedian.

You got that right, Joey. SL was lights out and contributed to our run production as well. Running a team is tasking, and Steve does it with class and enthusiasm.

A replay of "The Play'' that SL refers to will be coming to a field near you soon! In 65 years, I have never seen anything like it. Thanx Joey for providing a memory that will forever be etched in our memory banks. "The Play'' comes complete with audio as well!
