Let me start off by first congratulating the Indians on an amazing season!
Last night a great baseball game was had by two very talented teams, and for the Diamondbacks it will be one of those moments that stand out a lifetime.
Last nights final score, 7-5 Diamondbacks. Series tied 1-1.
The Dbacks struck early in the bottom of the 1st inning when Winston Fernandez singled, stole a base and then scored on Dave Zebrowskis double.
In the top 3rd, the Indians struck forcefully with two back to back hits, a double, a walk and then a triple by Buretter (?), giving the Indians a 5-1 lead.
The Dbacks regained composure in the bottom 4th with a couple of walks, HBP, good timely hitting and aggressive base running to put up another 5 runs to the score. Dbacks picked up another insurance run in the bottom 5th when Andy Pedone sent a deep fly ball to center field, scoring Dave Plagenza easily from 3rd for the sac fly to finish the game at 7-5.
Avram D., pitched strategically and locked down the strike zone after the Dbacks regained the lead to hold the mighty Indians at bay for the Win.
A very hard fought game that the Dbacks deserved last night as they never quit and showed a lot of heart in their win. Should be a very good game 3 tonight as well plus game 4 tomorrow . All should come out and enjoy at such a beautiful venue that Shuttleworth is. 730 start for both .
