Old Fashioned baseball in Cooperstown.........The Bombers outplayed the New York Giants to capture the regular season highlighted game 9-6.

Ryan Johnson hit a 3-run homer and a triple. Bob Altobelli had a couple of well struck hits as did Lex Herrlett and Carlos Espada. Lex gained the win - throwing a complete game. The Giants just couldn't put together a big inning! The Bombers made the plays on defense. The Giants with the help of yours truly, made a crucial mistake on defense (confusion on an infield pop-up.......Boink!).........would have ended an inning.........then POW, Ryan hit the 3-run shot!

The Bombers deserved to win......they came to play. The Giants showed up for a little bit in the bottom of the 7th inning but Mike Kane actually hit a ball too hard that hung up in CF for the final out of the game. Juego!!!

Big BBQ afterwards at the Glimmer Glass State Park.........8lbs of Rib Eye steak, Italian sausage, shrimp ****tail, corn on the cob.............good stuff!

New York Giants and Cubs next Sunday play to decide who captures the 45 Title........should be fun!
