The Blue Jays combined effective pitching by Mike Surin, a strong defense behind him, and a balanced offense to defeat the Warriors 13-3 at Blatnick Park in Niskayuna on July 26. This was a tight one-run game through four innings before the Jays pulled away with big innings in the fifth and sixth. I, for one, enjoyed the field at Blatnick and would be happy to play more games there.
The Blue Jays improve their season record to 6-4 and face the tough Bombers squad next week.
