Colt 45's opened the new season at CBR with a 5-2 win over the Bears last night. Andy Sardella and Mickey Novak pitched well and the offense was led by Freddy Mac 2 hits and RBI's by Demarco, J Burns and rookie Sean Pidgeon. Bears are highly improved and played good defense.
A word of thanks to the Colt .45's - you guys could've really taken us for granted after our opening night thrashing but the Bears have committed to showing substantial improvement (especially on defense) but your bats didn't take it easy on us and you guys put the ball in play (in fact, I think the Bears pitchers only had one strikeout on the day) and challenged our defense. And then after the game took the time to acknowledge that we did play a lot better than we had in the past - for that we appreciate it.
The Colt .45's have a ton of talent and a roster with guys who have won multiple championships on many teams in many divisions. They will be a force to be reckoned with in 2015.
