getting through winter

it's january in albany. we all know the routine: snow, icy rain, long gray days, and cold deep in our bones..

so how do we get through it all till our game begins again?

i find windows and dreams help me. hope they do you, too:

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." -Rogers Hornsby
whose career batting average of .358 is second only to ty cobb's .366.

"It's proverbial that half of all American males go to bed each night dreaming of striking out the heart of the Yankees' order." - James Thurber,
writer and cartoonist for the New Yorker magazine, from 1920s to 1950s.

big, clear windows and good dreams to you all. - mike
