27 Innings, 24 Hours, 4 Injuries, 0 Wins

Been a rough start for the 45 Blue Jays in Florida. The scheduler managed to give us 3 games in a 24-hour span over Monday and Tuesday. We entered the tourney with a roster of 14 guys, but we suffered 2 injuries (1 calf and 1 thumb) the week before as guys played in other age divisions. Today, we added 2 hamstrings to the medical report. Troops are getting thin.

The games: well, we're 0-3. We've lost to teams from PA, DC (Bonaparte and Careccia's squad) and OH. We've had some good moments and our pitching has generally been decent, but the defense has been inconsistent and we haven't strung together enough offense to stay in high scoring games.

We've got games Wednesday and Thursday to see if we can pull ourselves into what now looks like a longshot playoff spot. Otherwise, we'll just be enjoying the 75 degree weather, sun, and sand, and rooting for our colleagues on the Albany Cubs and 56+ Team Albany.

Keep your chin up Curt!
There are at least two others at 0-3.
Win 1 or two, and you still have a chance to get in.
